Is the within going to be released Later July?

I can wait a month.

It'll be worth the wait. Honestly, it's the best dual core device out period if you ask me. Evo 3D is pretty cool and the Sensation but I no longer like Sense that much. It seems to cluttered and not much innovation. Nice hardware but Sammy has nice quality from the build to the performance of their OS. Plus the root community is all over the SGSII. I'm sure they will be all over the US variants as well. I just might get this as my dual core device for Sprint and let Ice Cream OTA revive my Nexus S 4G. Only if I can't wait it out for the Nexus 3.

I'm moving to AT&T, and I'm waiting for Attain to come out to do it. I have zero interest in any of the current offerings.

I have decided to have both the EVO 3D and the sgs 2 since neither one can keep me from REALLY wanting the other. Call me an addict. Looking forward to August.

 Say it aint so? I have been with AT&T for over 10 years and their customer service really stinks. I have seen charges that make no sense on my bills. So funny business going on with fees and such that makes you wonder. I can't wait to jump ship when the Within comes out. I know others who are on and have been with Sprint for years and say great things about them. Oh, and lets not forget the unlimited virtually everything for a heck of a price. Something to think about........

What good is unlimited data if you can't keep a data connection? I would stay with Sprint if I still had the service I had with them a year ago. Sprint has good customer service, but NOT good coverage.

It's going to cost me half as much to move to AT&T, being on someone's family plan.

well said and exactly what I did.

it varies from area to area. i have dissed att for years but here in Dallas their network has been 4-5 times faster since the h+ change took place.

i popped in to let you guys know that i spoke with someone at sprint today that claims a september release for the iphone 5 and late october/november for the within. no idea how accurate his information was but he did have the current "playbook" in hand....and he is the first rep I have talked to that even knew what the within was.

I find that very inaccurate

I find that very inaccurate

lol....which part

rumors are rumors...by definition they are not accurate. this guy at least knew what the phone was.

as for speeds...you cant really dispute hard data. there are other variables at play like hardware...but we get these 3g speeds on all three of out att devices...my evo is nowhere close . one pic is wifi the other 3g. if you have to ask which is which...dont talk to me hahaha

I worked for Sprint and read the Playbook every week. Release dates that haven't been announced will not be in the playbook. That associate knows as much as we do.

You can argue dropped calls, after all they are PHONES to begin with right. My sisters iPhone dropped at least once every conversation. AT&T is notorious for that.

The SGS2 variants will be released FALL or WINTER.

Who wants to be the last one to the party? Not me.

i never argued that :) it is area dependent. we happen to be in a pretty good area....plus...who uses a cell phone for calls anymore :p

seriously though...the iphones are known for dropped calls...not the network. i have had more dropped calls on sprint with my evo than what we have experienced on out att phones.

i have both sprint and att guys and gals....just making a comparioson of what i see here in dallas.

as for the rumor i mentioned above it is just that....a rumor...from a sprint employee who knew a little more about the phone than other employees i have spoken with. picking that apart is just plain dumb...i led with "i have no idea how accurate this is" lol.

i am preordering a photon today to give it a test run alongside this infuse....but in the end i am like all of you...i really wish i were benchmarking an attain against the within :(

i will add my biggest concern...battery life. its taken every trick i have to squeeze 21 hours out of the infuse with heavy usage....i have hopes that they have addressed this on the sg2

Actually, the dumb part is believing the employee would actually know that kind of information. If there was concrete evidence of a release date, like in the playbook, it would have leaked by now. It's a fact that sales associates, even Managers know nothing about future release dates until the rest of us do. The carriers don't want their employees pushing phones that aren't even out yet, which is why release dates are kept under wraps till the carrier chooses to make it public.

Like I said, I worked for Sprint, I have asked my manager, my district manager, even our sales director for release dates before, they never know. Half of the time they don't even know what phone I was talking about. Never believe any of the bullshit that comes out of their mouth. They will tell you a release date is months away because they want you to buy a phone from them today.

I don't disagree....but i am passing along all info I find

;)

I would much rather believe the news I posted reporting august

I've waited so long for this phone I don't have much left but bitterness. My only hope now is that of all the carriers in the US to get the subsidized version of the galaxy s ii, sprint gets it first.

San Dan Glokta would be proud my my spitefulness.

I just hope that if sprint does make a major switch to lte in the future, they put up super towers for their 4g that transmit both wimax and lte at the same time and coverage blanket.

Since there might be an SGS2, I'd say go for the Nexus Prime (if it comes to Sprint) which just got confirmed by Samsung with Super Amoled HD, Ice Cream Sandwich and probably 4.5" screen

Ahh, yes. There is always a better phone coming down the line. I may wait for the 4.7 super duper HD Amoled and the Jelly Bean operating system, though....

Samsung Within (Galaxy S2) Confirmed Late July for Sprint

Although this "confirms" that the release will be in Late July, there might be a delay because of the lawsuit Apple has issued against Samsung. Not sure though. (I'm not good with all these kind of legal issue things :p)
I also haven't seen the Within in the news lately, so I'm expecting it to be released after July.

Samsung states that the phone will be released in August. There is no lawsuit by Apple that will slow down release of the S2. By the time Samsung and Apple get these various lawsuits sorted out, Samsung will be on the S5.

I'm thinking an august release. seeing how samsung announced an august release, and the within recently spotted in the wild.... Out just makes sense.
