is there a different version of desire hd?

my friend had bought a desire hd and her phone works perfectly well it doesn't have the /init problem and the camera works using auto settings without the yellow hue when using flash i think her desire hd comes from india because it has a sticker on the bottom of the box.

mine has /init problem and the camera produces a yellow hue when using flash. and also the power button is deep inside it is not protruding making it difficult to press.

what are your insights about this?

Depends on carriers and what they do to the firmware, also some of it seems to come down to luck.

The power button not protruding is a manufacturing defect. If it's less than 1 month old, get a replacement or send it in for repair. I only realised it was a defect after my wife got hers and sent it for repair yesterday.
