Is there a one-click root method available for the LG Optimus S 2.2?
I have an Evo Shift, but trying to find some more information on rooting my sisters Optimus. Just wanna remove bloatware and install some custom ROM.

I just rooted my Optimus s today. Here's a guide:

[How-To] Rooting LS670ZVD with GingerBreak (no reverting and OTA works too!) - Android Forums

A hint... Download SDK tools... make an easy folder (I made c:\1\root\) and copy the tools to it. you'll find the link you need in the post at above. It's called optimusrootvzd.zip.

Hint 2: you can copy & paste the commands from the post into the terminal window (CMD in windows) no typing required.

It's very easy!! :D

Update... An almost truly one click here:

I used a one click tool that roots or unroots phones, flashes recoveries and rams and other stuff you can do easily on an android terminal so that way you don't have to worry about installing sdk and using adb shell from your computer, anyways, when I tried to flash a custom recovery on my phone using the one click method it didn't install the recovery and it messed up or uninstalled my stock recovery and nothing I have tried can get any recovery back on my phone. I can't even get the stock recovery back. I'm just letting you know it's real easy if you go to the android market and install the free terminal emulator and copy and paste the commands from your phone's browser to the terminal. I used gingerbreak to root my phone and it was real easy to do it through the terminal then you can install xionia custom recovery. Just another tip cuz I know the next step is to look for an easy way to install roms, don't try rom manager (clockwork recovery) on the optimus s, it isn't compatible with this phone. Good Luck!
