Help is there a permanent root? help

my setup is as follows:

htc eris fully flashed to cricket.i am on the $45 plan
used eris rooter to root, backup apn and no need to edit(its fine)
then recovery,
flashed rootme.zip,
then i flashed cricket mms from tokken
all works well(except market and data app w/o wifi, thats ok)
seems i have to reroot sometimes, not sure if its when i reboot or if its random
was wondering is there a perma root or a different way?

i saw a way with auto then accept permissions in SuperUser, but the only thing i have in is root explorer.
so i aguess i am asking if there is a way to root amd make mms functional all the time?

metlcat also mentioned this question and I don't how you guys really want a perfectly working HTC Droid Eris on Cricket. And sorry for the late response. He also mentioned this 2. http://androidforums.com/eris-all-things-root/367908-factory-wipe-dalvik-cache.html

So far, I have 2 units of fully working Eris on Cricket and my friends whom I gave them to, are supper happy. I, therefore, have not tried to change or switch to another ROM ever since these phones started working.

My suggestion would be a little experiment and find out (referring to 2). I have a 3 unit of eris but it has no plan otherwise I was going to test it and find out for you guys. Which means that I don't know either.

But, what I recently tried and found out is that when you change or switch to another ROM you MAY still have your Talk and Text. I did this with my no plan eris which I fully flashed to cricket and found out that at the end when you are done switching the ROM and then press *228, eris still clicks once and says "welcome to cricket". That is why I said that you MAY have your Talk and Text settings unaffected.

As for WEB and MMS, I can't guess. If the Talk and Text is unaffected, then Web and MMS gets messed up then proceed to fully flash it again. If it is also unaffected then that will be a discovery.

Try, and tell me the results. Whatever they are, I am sure you guys also want perfectly working phones. I will provide the easiest step by step of fully flashing to cricket and the locations of files you'll need to succeed or solve 1.

As for the ROM, the best so far to run with cricket is xtrROM5.0.1 found here
[ROM][GPL] xtrROM5.0.1 odex,cache2cache,apps2sd,jit,lwp,oc[3/29/2011] - xda-developers

Later!
