Help Is there a solution for SMS congestion?

I had noticed this problem more on my Motorola Devour *gag* while I had it, but I'm starting to notice it on my Ally now. The scenario is: I'm in the process of sending a SMS message out, and one comes in. The one coming in causes the outbound SMS to fail sending causing an error and an annoyance.

Is this just a natural thing with any phone? I imagine it can only handle so much traffic, but it seems odd. I do text a lot. I don't think this would be a software problem, but maybe it is. I'm using the 2.2 stock messaging app.

Any ideas/suggestions (other than the obvious text less) :p

I think it has something to do with Verizon's servers. This happens a lot to me with many different phones. The network probably won't allow simultaneous incoming and outgoing messages. I'm guessing that the incoming messages are set as priority with the network. This is probably why the outgoing is always the one that fails. This is all just a logical guess.

That would indeed make sense. I have on a rare ocasion just had one fail to send with nothing inbound, but most of the time its when my phone is getting "blown up" with texts and i'm trying to reply. Lol
