Help Is there a way to restore a deleted video?

I know this question has been asked before, but none seem to help me. Ok so I have the LG G2x phone. I accidently deleted a video in my Gallery in the Camera External folder. I don't think the video was saved in my SD card but, in my phone. I downloaded Recuva and when I inserted my SD to find it, it doesn't. So I tried to connect my phone to the computer but for some reason it doesn't find my phone. So I am at lost and would much appreciate if someone can help me. It would mean a lot.

Moved this here from the Motorola DROID forums b/c the G2x is the same as the Optimus 2X (European version) so that you can get better exposure from other G2x users.

Download all of the drivers for it first.

And i think you need to download the recovery app before you delete the video
