Help Is there a way

[derrabe]

Is there a way to remotely push software to your android. I have a third party app that I have the apk file and I know I could just email me the file but, I also know that you can send software to your phone from the android market website. I want to know if you can do this with out the android market.

The only things that come to mind are dropbox and file sharing sites like mediafire. I havent seen anything like what you are talking about.
