Help Is there any free music player apps that have an equalizer?

Been trying to find a free music player app that has an equalizer. The only one I can find is poweramp but it's only a limited time free trial. Any help would be appreciated.

Try MixZing Media Player. Or type in "graphic equalizer" on your Marкеt's search bar for a list of apps with music equalizer.

just put cm7 on your phone and you can have an all around equalizer for all your music (even Pandora).

DSPManager provides a pretty good equalization system, and works with whatever you are using.

I feel your pain. I bought PowerAmp back in February because of that. A few weeks later DSP manager showed up! Just remember, DSP manager needs 2.3 or better.

I've noticed that many of the standalone EQ apps require 2.3 or higher.

Thanks for this, just tried on my Galaxy Player 5.0 and works great!

Yes, the audio sub system was one of the biggest changes with Gingerbread. Android didn't have much in the way of low latency sound drivers yet, so heavy audio processing wasn't very practical. I don't know of ANY free EQ's that work with 2.2 or older.

I am using TTPod Music Player v2.8.1, which works on 2.2. This comes with Equalizer and is free. There are other players like MixZing, Cloudskipper, DeaDBeeF Player etc. They are all free. But not sure whether Cloudskipper's eq will work in 2.2.

Sorry, no idea. I just play MP3. Not sure what Ogg Vorbis means.

Much like there are different formats for video (avi,mpg,mov, etc) ogg vorbis is another audio format. It's open source as opposed to the MP3, which is proprietary.

the files typically have .ogg as the file extension.

Looks good, but two caveats. First, it's a beta of a paid app. Betas don't bother me (I'll play with alpha builds) but it kind of sounds like you would have to pay for it once it launches.
Second, the equalizer is only five band. I'm a little spoiled by PowerAmp, which I paid for.
