Root Is there anyway to install Ubuntu OS?

Hey im by no means a developer but i am just wondering if it is possible to install Ubuntu's phone os onto the lg spectrum? Or installing firefox os would be pretty sweet too

No. Ubuntu OS is not available at all yet.

it's not out yet. I read yesterday that it will be available for the Galaxy nexus in a few weeks

Maybe one day it will work for us but I doubt it

It will work for us if we had a lot of devs to work on it BUT the nexus line gets it first.. There's no question to that. I can boot ubuntu off sd on my nook tablet but assume u are talking about the new os made just for mobile. Which yes is possible but it'd be a pain to get working.

Why would you want to? Its not even released yet.. If you got it running you would be overrun by bugs and they will eat your innards

This is for installing actual linux distro I could be wrong but don't think its for the ubuntu phone OS.. I have used it to install backtrack on my razr though and BT is based on ubuntu so that is one connection of profit

Correct. That app installs the desktop version on your phone.
