I don't want to use the stock dock, I have my own dock. Can I trick the phone into car mode? Is there a magnet I can buy?

Help Is there anyway to trick the Dinc2 into car mode?

Doesn't appear to be magnetic. I just pulled my stock mount (which I don't use because I bought a different mount due to the extended battery), and I found the attached. Soon as I plugged it into my phone, it went right to car mode. Looks like it's just a matter of a resistor, but I'm no electronics expert.

Stealthman, if you're running ADWLauncher or Launcher Pro you can create shortcuts to 'activities' and you can select car dock in the list. I've currently got ADWLauncher and GoLauncher loaded, trying to decide which to use permanently. ADWLauncher works, I added a car dock icon on my home screen but I could not find how to do it in GoLauncher. I know LPP works because I used that exclusively on my DroidX. HTH!
