Root Is there anyway to truly boost performance?

Overclocking has to be set up in the kernel first. Currently our kernel maxes out at whatever cpu it came with. In order to go higher, the kernel must be modified to allow higher frequencies. Until this happens, it will be impossible to overclock. I heard that underclocking works though.

As for preformance in general, the only thing you can do is keep your ram from getting used up. There are all kinds of don'ts but very few do's.
 
To be perfectly blunt, NO. There are several things that need to be done first before the prevail can be overclocked.
 
Blade buddy made immediately noticeable impact on the performance of my phone. I enabled the hardware acceleration and some of the stage fright functions which I've noticed shabby has in his mod. The app is nice for me since I'm not quite up for a custom rom yet. This is my first droid and new to rooting so I'll wait till I am bored with the stock rom lol!
