Help is there nothing you can do about htc sense and facebook contacts?

been looking around on HTC,XDA, and here and is it true that at the moment there is no fix to the Facebook contact sync? i remember when i first got the evo i was able to sync contact, but now it says i have no friends

This has been brought up in the HTC forums. They are working on it. Supposedly it is a software issue on HTC's end. Once it is fixed it will work for everyone, nothing has to be done on the handsets.

Its not a permanent fix, but it works.

Goto Settings > accounts and sync
click on facebook and then remove account.

when you add it back, you will have to sign in again.. then click sync now.. It will update all your new contacts and pics.

I had this issue about a week ago and really got me frustrated. I did what cobra said a few days ago multiple time, and at first it only popped up with a few friends. Then a couple days later a few more, as of today they are all updated again

I use the app FB Sync and have never had problems.

Clarification - It's called Facebook Sync, not FB Sync. That's just what the icon says. And while it LOOKS like it screwed up the first time I did it (wrong photos on people, etc.), after I restarted my phone everything lined up with the right contacts.
