cool so I do this then make back up correct. There is Titanium, clockworkmod,amon_ra and rom manager. Which is the easest I hear that amon_ra is not working well with new hboot is that true?and will these save my wimax rsa keys. Thanks

ROM Manager is pretty user friendly and is what I'd recommend to start with, but the new version of clockwork is buggy. Amon RA used to not work well with newer EVO's with different partitions (the newer partitions were found on EVO's with the newer hboots). A new version of Amon RA has been released that works with all EVO's, no matter what hboot. You can flash using ROM Manager (yes ROM Manager now flashes Amon RA 2.1.1) or you can download here.
As for the your wimax rsa keys being backed up, the new version of ROM Manager/Clockwork is supposed to back those up, but like I mentioned earlier, it's buggy. Amon RA will back those up and is stable, so you shouldn't have a problem. Hope this helps!

Thank you Frenchy, I think I will root tomorrow then download anon_ra do back up of current Rom (which is stock Rom) and that should get me headed in the safe right direction. Is that correct.I have heard that Rom manager is not working well either, is that correct. Thanks Jim
