Is this a hardware problem?

I haven't seen anyone posting about this problem, but it has followed me through several different ROMs, and even after flashing back to stock Sense. My vibration as well as haptic feedback of any kind has stopped working. I get sound and LED notifications, but my phone does not vibrate or move for anything anymore. I have double and triple checked all the settings, and it should be working but it's not.

Is my only option if I want vibration to let verizon replace it?

If the option for vibrate and haptic feedback are turned ON while you have stock 2.1 Sense ROM (Official RUU) then I would say that it is indeed a hardware problem.

Mine hasn't worked for months. In my case nothing caused it. It simply stopped working in the middle of the day.
As noted on another thread, the vibrating capacity of the Eris is pretty awful to begin with so this really hasn't been a problem for me.
