Is it normal for an android phone to use 120kb of internet in under a minute? I know its not alot but should it be using it that quickly? its my first android so im just checking thats okay. I was on facebook for under a minute and, like i said, used 100kb.

My phone also used 200kb in a minute or two when nothing was even running. Im totally new to this all so its probably a stupid question but thanks to anyone who can help!! :D

That's ok for a quick visit to Facebook. 120MB would be a problem!

Some applications and widgets use a small amount of data to work properly, such as the weather widget, Market update checker, email checker, clock, etc. Apps that contain adverts will use data, even games like Angry Birds will use about 3mb per hour unless you turn 3G off while playing.

You could try an app called TrafficStats from the Market. That shows you exactly what apps or system resources have been using data. It helped me on a few occasions to find apps that were using far too much of my data plan.
