Help is this a sign?

I have a 32GB Nexus 7 I got in January 2013. I have already had to have it factory serviced once (RAM memory apparently failed) back in October 2013. Recently, I have noticed that even though I have left it on, it is somehow turning off by itself. It happens randomly, but has occurred about 3 times now. Other times its fine.

It will turn on & I initially thought the battery might have been drained, but each time I turn it back on, there is plenty of battery juice (anywhere from 30-60% full).

Is this a sign that it may be failing again? Or what else could be going on here?

Think id look at the software before the hardware: reflash, factory reset, before thinking about the hardware (noone wants to send their tablet away until theyve tried the first things a repair center would try first).
You could be right though and its just bad hardware

Gosh you actually got yours repaired? Wow you're so lucky. Google Asus are pretty uninterested once they got your money in my experience

Google has been nothing but great servicing my nexus 5. They replaced it pretty much no questions asked.

Must be an Asus thing.

Maybe a country thing. In Australia damaged USB charge socket.
Contacted Google who referred me to Asus who in turn referred me back to Google. Visited third party repairers who all stated 'parts unobtainium'
