Is This Just a Bad Verizon Device Again

So I just picked up another Galaxy Nexus for Verizon and nothing seems to have changed. I can't hold a 3G signal in 3G areas. LTE seems okay. I had one at launch went through a few and stuck with the Rezound after multiple issues. After trialing the One X on AT&T I realized the GNex and ICS on Verizon was what I wanted. I picked one up yesterday and have had nothing but connectivity issues. Is there any hope for this device or is it a take the good with the bad mentality on Verizon because of the issues?

I appreciate any help the people who have stuck with it have.

i'm on my 3rd G Nex now....still doesn't pick up reception worth a crap. So to us yeah you got a bad unit....but to VZW/Samsung it's normal. There are some people that don't have any problems at all with their G Nex tho so maybe you could keep swapping them out till you get a good one.....

OP would you mind editing your title on this and put [VZW] in it please? Thanks


also rooting/flashing didn't help my first one. i haven't kept the others long enough to re root them.

I will edit title tomorrow when I get to computer. I thought I remembered a Verizon Galaxy Nexus subgroup but couldn't find it on Tapatalk.

there is only a Verizon sub forum for All Things Root.

*edit* actually there did used to be a VZW in general sub forum but the forums were changed a while back to what it is now. One main forum for all general and then All things root sections for each device.
