Is this phone slower than Rezound?

Hi, I have HTC Rezound, and I love this phone. But recently, I checked out some benchmarks and saw that this phone is actually slower than Nexus, even with faster processor and GPU. Is this because Sense 3.5 is slow?

Yes it is. Rezound uses an old Snapdragon that is meant to compete with Cortex A8 processors while the GN uses a Cortex A9 which is quite a bit faster clock for clock. inb4 uninformed fanboys come in and say impossibru! nothing is faster than the Rezound

That said Rezound is a better phone overall than the GN imo

That is good but the benchmark shows otherwise. I did some benchmarks and compared it with Nexus, and it's slower in 2D and 3D graphics. Is this because Rezound is Gingerbread while Nexus is Ice Cream Sandwich?

No. The processor in the Nexus is a newer design than that of the Rezound and the GPU is a bit more powerful. You won't ever really notice this except in benchmarks though.

I am rooted, but stock, running ADW. I regularly get results like this with my Rezound.

Benchmarks are both accurate and the only reason to buy a phone...

Seriously, the rezound beats the gnex on some, actually most but that doesn't mean squat. Don't get caught up on benchmarks.

I don't know much about the processors, newer, older or whatever. Doesn't hold much water when old is every six months.

Oh i know they don't really matter, but i have a friend who has the Razr Maxx, and i love sending him my screenshots. He can't even get close to those numbers. Here is one i did this morning.

Seriously meaningless, this a low score for me but I can guarantee you the difference in everyday speed between my Nexus and the above posted Rezound would be likely negligible.

I agree. I just love rubbing it in to my friend who is stuck on Moto.
