Is this real? Or did they just make this up...

I am just asking if it is real because they specifically mention an AT&T version and finish it up with this little gem:

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset will hit the AT&T’s retail channels by the end of this year for an unknown price point.

I am pretty much just chalking it up to them making it up ( as I can't find any other info about AT&T specifically getting this phone ), but I am hoping it is true as I really want to make the jump from iOS to android and figured a nexus device was the way to go.

Where is that excerpt from?

Where is that excerpt from?

Right under the specs on that page... in the "Price & Availability" section.

Apparently that was posted on Oct 31st, though, I have been looking everywhere for information on AT&T getting this phone and that website is the only place I have seen anything like that.

verizon will be the exclusive carrier to carry it at first and have it subsidized .But I do believe it will be exclusive to them right through the holidays. So the earliest I expect a GSM version is Jan. remember the GSM version is univrsal.it ill work on all GSM carriers. So I see it hitting best buy or something. Never in the tmo/att stores themselves

these are just my beliefs.. please do not take it as fact

I don't think it's made up.. Verizon was never meant to be the exclusive carrier for this phone.. they aren't even getting it first, it releases in the UK on November 17.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus launching a week after the UK release

Don't expect to see Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus before Thanksgiving

Packaging list showing Galaxy Nexus going to Sprint

UK will have it only by like 10 hours or whatever because of the time difference since it's being released on the 17th on verizon US time

Yeah I really hope you're wrong about that. If Google/Samsung delayed releasing the AT&T/International version of the Gnex until 2012 I'm going to be pissed.

All that would accomplish is pissing off a large portion of their customer base so lets hope they don't act like asshats and release both simultaneously...

They already officially confirmed the 11/17 release of the GSM GNex in the UK - $680 + free shipping to the States if you want to go that route (no contract).

Otherwise, you can also upgrade to the iPhone 4S + 2yr contract, unload it on ebay or craigslist, then use that fund to get the international GNex.

Any other retailers offering this yet? Or are you just talking about the one that already has a thread here on the forums.

I'm thinking about doing that... though I am not sure I want the hassle.

How does that work once you get the GNex? I just go in to AT&T with the new phone and get a new sim card and make sure that my data plan is ported to the android version ( or whatever )?
