Is this the update for 3UK?

Hey guys.

I dont really post on these forums, but I read them all the time.
Been keeping a close eye on the 2.1 update for the 3 network for a while now
and with the rollout gradually starting I've been checking for the pre-update every day.
I normally check google every day for the lastest news, and when I just checked sites from the past 24 hours, there was a post on another forum mentioning the pre update for 3uk. The link is:

ROM Upgrade for HTC Hero (3UK)

It says 'ROM version:2.73.771.73 (3UK)' and I've just checked against my version which is '.62'.

Anyone know if this is the pre-update? If it is, Enjoy!

Sorry, I dont think it is.
Just noticed the date at the top of the page.
Anyone know what this is?

Had my hero since Jan 2010 on 3 and it has, always had 2.73.771.73. Seems odd your's is .62.
Enter your serial number in the download box and see if you can download and then, try and update but it is not part of the 2.1 pre-release, as you have worked out

Thanks. Yeah, kinda weird mine ends with .62. Ill try and download in a while.

I've never done an update, so would love to be able to advise.
Would err on the side of caution and back up data, apps and sms' before doing any update
