I can't remember how I did this previously, but when transferring ownership of a rooted phone to another person, does the phone need to be unrooted in order for activation to take place under the new owner?? TIA
Nope, just be sure that it's no longer active on the Sprint network.
Also a good idea to call Sprint and confirm, let them know that you're selling the phone.
One of my buddies here has sold 3 phones, two of them rooted, and one got tangled in the system, so the inactive phone started ringing to incoming calls.
Just make sure with Sprint, don't confuse them about root, and you should be good to go.

+1
Just to elaborate on what EM posted, and to make everything easier, make sure you flash either the stock rooted rom or another rom with the EPST codes baked in and confirmed that they work.
I've activated a couple OG evo's with custom roms on them. All you need is working EPST codes baked in!!![]()
Hey Granite do you have any suggestions on a rom. I have my OG evo on Mik 3.11 but I am also selling it and keeping rooted more fun for the next user.
