Hello! i have following situation; in order to connect to internet on my pc i need to connect to my wifi router by wifi or ethernet and then i need to dial broadband connection with my credentials (username and password) to connect to internet. I have Desire HD and i can connect with wifi to router and i have access to local network but in order to connect to internet i should dial broadband connection from DHD but i can not figure it how or i found application which would allow me this option. Does anybody have some idea how could i connect to internet from DHD from my home network?

Ummm the way my broadband has always worked is that the router does the dialup and anything plugged into the router (your PC, DHD, etc) will have access to the internet through it. There won't be any 'apps' to help here, you just need to look at the instructions for setting up your router. But I don't think that's your problem.

yes this is the most common case but my router is limited by ISP and this is the way how their service works. Router is in bridge mode (not router mode like the case you described) and then i need to dial bridge/broadband connection with my access data to connect to internet

So the setup you have is

telephone socket which has a modem plugged into it, then the modem is plugged into a router, then everything connects to the router ?

i have phone socket with plugged in router (Siemens SX763 WLAN) and everything connects to the router (ethernet or wlan) but the problem is that router is in bridge mode (ISP limited this and i can not configure it to work in router mode) and then every client which connects to this router has access to local network but in order to connect to internet you need to dial PPPoE connection from the client.

Ok, Can you not get to the router settings page ?

yes i can but i have such kind of service which must work on this way that i dial PPPoE connection from client connected to router in order to connect to internet.

I don't understand why they would do that when the router can connect to the internet itself, So the option to do that is not available in the router settings ? If not then it would seem like they have altered the firmware, There is firmwares availble from siemens that you could try flashing to it, that should then allow you to set the router up properley without having to dial up everytime. The only other option would be to buy a new router I think.

Hmm, All you would need to setup another router is your login info and the VPI,VCI numbers which I cant find anywhere for Croatia, Been to a few croatian broadband providers websites and can't find any support pages, Strange. You could email Iskon and ask for the numbers, There is no reason really why they wouldnt tell you.

You could also just use ur pc to log into the broadband then in theory everything connected to the router should have internet access without having to dial into it, Not the best solution but the only other thing I can think of right now.

Besides this i have telephony configured on my router and data for this is not provided to me; only ISP knows that. VPI and VCI numbers i can see in my router but this is not enough (btw. VPI and VCI is different from ISP to ISP in most cases). When i dial connection from PC then only PC has access to the internet in order to connect DHD i also need to dial connection from this device. It crossed my mind to try ICS but this is pain in the ass. on my pc i have two network cards and one WLAN card so i can connect pc with wire to router and then try to setup ad-hoc wireless connection.... pain in the ass

right now what i see is, android operating system still do not allow users to bridge the phone with pc, which means pc install modem driver and dail *99# to connect. the only way available for android phone is only to route the traffic from the phone that connected to hspa/3g/edge, which means phone acts as a router. if you have public ip assigned to your account, the ip will only bind to your phone, and not your pc since pc get private ip assigned by an application (such as pdanet) and your gateway will be your phone.

come on android developer! is that so hard for you to develop a modem driver for android phone? seems like symbian is a lot better since they provide modem driver so that pc user can install and make mobile phone act as a modem, not as a router. ;)
