Help Issue adding widgets

My phone will not let me add widgets. When i long press on the homescreen and then select widgets nothing happens and it just returns to the homescreen. Any help?

How long did you wait after you long press? Sometimes it takes a while for the widget list to pop up.

I wait until my screen shuts off which is set for 15 seconds and the widget list doesn't come up. I have tried multiple times.

Are you using the stock launcher or something else? I see you're using a ROM. Maybe the dev might know something

I fixed it, i just updated to a newer version of the rom. Thanks button for the two of you who tried!
