Help Issue with text messaging

Sophieejn

Okay, so I've had my note 2 for almost 2 years now and these past few months it has just been playing me up real bad. I've been dealing with it until yesterday when it decided it was gonna start messing my text messaging about.
Basically, I opened up my text messaging and it had changed all my bubble styles to default, which I just thought was a bug, so I changed them back to how I liked them. Tried to send a text, wouldn't send unless I have the default bubbles. No biggie.
Now everytime I open up messages it asks me if I want to delete old messages, every time. I say no, go into my settings and it has changed to yes. But they're not deleting. But if I put no in the settings, it won't let me send texts.
Final issue, whenever I get a text now it doesn't tell me who it's from or what it says when it pops up, just says 'new message' when usually it'll tell me the name (ie Chloe sent you a text) and then give me a preview of the message.

Any help with this would be appreciated and I hope I've done this right as I am a newbie here! Thankyou!

Since you're having numerous issues, have you tried a Factory Reset, I know it might not be what you want to hear, but you might have a few rogue apps and this would be the easiest way to check your device.

Yeah I think I'm gonna have to try that if I can't resolve it in a different way, just gotta move all the important bits and pieces onto my sd card, which may take a while but guess that's what I'm gonna have to do ! Thanks!

Yep, much easier then trying to figure out the whole process, once you have you important stuff backed up, you will see within 30 minutes you will be back up and running, I would try not reinstalling to many apps at first for a few day, just to see how you device reacts. Then do a few apps at a time, so you can see if it is a rogue app, I would stick stock apps for a few days IMO

Okay will do! Thanks!
Do you know if there's anyway to save messages to my sd card as I don't wanna lose the conversations. Although that's not too much of a big deal!
