Root Issues installing cm10

So I've been tryng to install cm10 alpha (Goo.im Downloads - Browsing nightlies) and every time I install it it doesn't get past the first image (mine is the google boot logo) and it just go dark, it doesn't even show the cm10 boot animation.

I am using CWM Recovery v6.0.1.9 by b_randon14, any suggestion?

I read somewhere on here that formatting /sys vol doesnt yield good results, but cant find the post now.

Yeah, it was in one of the MTDEV threads and it was for /system (unless that was short hand as there is a /sys directory). I don't know how it could cause an issue, but it can somehow make one loose SU rights.

How are those latest builds? I've been wanting to try CM10, and I couldn't care less about the camera.

I'll tell you the truth, I haven't even downloaded the source code sence my last hard drive failed. I have been working on CM7 trying to get a couple of features on it then I was going to play with CM9. I think chairshot is ironing out the device files and that should give us a good base to start with as we work our way up. That and BSidz has been doing his thing with the newer kernels. I also hope to look at the differences in the kernels and kinda "merge" them. And and and and....

Full life:D

I was more talking about the builds in the OP. :p

Lol I wonder how this got out here.. :p

Those builds weren't released for a reason, and won't be released until I get a bootable version. I think one of those boots, but does little else, and I mean REAL little.

I'm still working with this, and it is a wip. It should be pretty good, but I won't release until it is up to par with the CM9 status.

Agreed. Stay away from CM10 on the Triumph for now. No headphones, no camera, and either 3G or Wifi has issues. If you want something modern, use CM9. If you need a camera, use CM7. The MTDEV builds of all the Cyanogenmods are the most up to date and stable for our device.
