Help Issues with attaching to gmail/favorites album MIA

Sorry if this is low level for some but I gotta ask as a droid noob. I searched and went through 90% of Evo threads and no luck.

First I hit the attach tab while composing gmail..and my options are photos only. No vids mp3 or docs what gives?

Second in gallery the albums shown are camera shots all photos all downloads and sample photos. Settings/default albums show my favs all photos all vids all downloads are checked. Where are the missing ones?

AH HA well I told all of you I was a noob...figured out my album issue if you don't have a video the gallery does not reflect a Video album. Now if I could only figure out why I can't attach mp3 to gmail I'd be moving forward. This droid thing is hard for a guy who just knows enough to really mess it up LOL.
