Help Issues with Contacts & Facebook Sync

It's really quite frustrating that I have some of my contacts synced with facebook, and others don't show up at all.

I'm running a rooted ICS rom (Goldie OnlyOne) and I have facebook set to sync contacts that already exist in my phone. When I did this, first, it still added SEVERAL contacts that I don't have in my phone... Don't know why facebook can't figure that simple task out... Anyways, so it added a lot of people I didn't need. I went through and "deleted" (it says it just hides them from contacts because it's read-only) them.

But pretty much ALL of the contacts I do have, facebook doesn't show me any of them. I have maybe 1 or 2 contacts that sync with their facebook profile, the rest are still unsynced and when I manually try to "Join Contacts" their facebook profile isn't available to choose.

Any advice?

Wow, Ok, I'm quickly learning that this forum is useless when it comes to support.

I've found my own work-around solution (not ideal by any means).

Using an app called Contact Sync found in the Play Store. It still had issues syncing people I wanted synced, but it did most of them.

The few who still weren't showing up correctly, I had to go on facebook, find out what their profile IDs were (not an easy task either; that involved a third party web page to help find IDs and even in a couple cases, I had to search through the profile page source code), and type the ID into the contacts' Note section. Then ran a Full Sync within the contact sync app.

Eventually, I got everything to where I'm happy... no thanks to this community...

I am sorry you feel that way.
We really do try to help as much as possible, whenever possible, and I am sorry we weren't able to help you today, in the way that you apparently needed.:(
I am glad that you found the solution.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but expecting a reply within 75mins of posting is slightly unrealistic. This is a user-to-user forum, after all; everybody here contributes their time and experience freely.

I'm stunned at you attitude and your expectations.
