Issues with Email(s)

This is my problem, idk if its really a big one, but I am getting 2 notifications everytime I get a email (gmail) on my revo, What im asking is how do I disable one of the emails so i do not get this.... Im using gmail and stock email apps....

When you tap Email does it show 2 accounts? If so just press and hold on one account til a menu pops up with a delete option.

No It is the same account, but the problem is it wont let me delete on or the other.....

Same. I believe it has to do with you set up your email in the beginning on the phone then actually set up the gmail client as well. It is weird. There is like a top layer program that shows you all your email (exchange, gmail, yahoo, Hotmail, etc...) then there is an actual gmail client. I believe both are notifying you.

Yup but i was able to fix it... i feel dumb now but i just cleared the data on the generic email account, and left the gmail.... so now im good....

I always just used the standard email client for gmail, but just yesterday tried using the gmail one instead and it is soooo much faster. Refreshing on the standard client takes me like 20 seconds, vs maybe 2 seconds for the gmail app. Glad I tried it!
