Help Issues with Galaxy Nexus

Got the GN on Thursday and generally happy with it. However, I have a few issues that if not resolved will mean I need to think about either exchanging the phone or returning it.

Issue one seems to the the length of time before it starts to indicate it is mains charging. Minor I know, but still annoying.

Issue two however is worse. The screen does not stay off! I have set the screen to auto-off after 30 seconds. However, if it automatically goes off, or I switch it off, it turns it self on again after 7-10 seconds. I have tried different wi-fi settings, different settings for notification etc but nothing seems to change it. It just comes back on.

Is anyone else finding this?

Sounds faulty to me. I would return it if I was you.
 
I read somewhere that in the developers section there is an option to have the screen always on when on charge, maybe you have this selected?
 
Hey Guys, Im having a charging issue i think my previous android phone had an orange led indication when it was charging my nesus has been plugged in for 2 hours i have no charge light and when i press the on button the battery symbol shows up but is blank.. any ideas?

Have you tried a different USB cable?
