Help Issues with new 10.1-inch Acer tablet (Honeycomb)

Anyone know how to delete browser bookmarks on Android?

[Want to loan the unit to someone else, so trying to permanently prevent them from following
bookmarks that auto-login to websites, by deleting the bookmarks.]

Just press and hold the bookmark/s in the browser (in the bookmark icon on the upper left corner). It'll pop up a box with a delete option. I don't think it mass deletes though. And make sure to clean history, cache, remove Chrome sync, passwords, your account, etc.

First tablet and im loving it. But I have a problem with it not reading word documents through a flash drive, it will get pictures, movies and music from a flash drive as quoted from the manual. I haven't tryed straight from the computer yet but what would be the point then. I also got doc to go to see if that would help and it only reads them off your email or that are saved to the device.

I just want to be able to read a word doc on the go, makes it a lot easyer to show it to people.

PS the keyboard was a fey keys laggy when I type this (on the A500)

1. That is odd about the USB not working, since I played PSX games fine and recall installing files from USB a few times. Wonder why the word doc does not open? You could install Astro and then copy the file to the internal SD and try it there.

2. The A500 probably is not the lag issue with this forum, since I have the same problem with laptops and desktops running windows. Not sure what it is and maybe a mod can answer why this is the case. ALL of my devices lag on this site.

I have lag in Browser when typing on all the forums I've tried, including comment boxes like at bleacherreport. I also think it gets worst per letter. Haven't tried Firefox or Opera yet but I get the feeling i'll be using either of those when it comes to anything other than viewing media, and general browsing.

Don't forget that comment boxes, PM boxes and so forth are all java based. Go to a regular computer and turn off java and your PM boxes and so forth will go away. I think this lag issue is a java based issue on forums. Not sure about anywhere else as I have not worked on docs yet. Just an opinion.

Ok, to get up-to-date: I did return the 10.1 tablet.

My next (final) plan is to order myself the latest...i.e. Asus 7-inch
'nexus'? tablet, which will presumably come with Android 5.0 (aka Jellybean).

I'm committed this time. I've purchased one of the latest developer books
(Apress's "Beginning Android 4"), and am geared up to get back writing Java
code to write Android-specific apps. And, I'm now already converting a few
web-pages to be more tablet/mobile specific, by learning jQuery-mobile.

Let's go!

So you're not buying the tablet anytime soon? ICS hardly has any saturation in the public and JB is the presumed name for the next version. 5.0 isn't even confirmed as the version number, 2.0 and 2.1 were Eclair, 2.2 was FroYo, 2.3 was Gingerbread, so there's a history of new names with a .x version number change.
