Issues with Note 2 vs Note

Hi I have just got a Note 2 to replace my original Note and a couple of things are really bothering me about the Note 2.

First the screen scrolling when surfing the internet with the stock browser is really laggy when the phone is on it's side i.e. 90 degrees. In a side by side comparison the original Note is much smother and will scroll from top to bottom of a long web page with one swipe. The Note 2 on the other hand requires me to keep swiping and keep stoping when scrolling

Second is the screen brightness which is much lower than on the original note when they are both on Automatic Brightness even with the Note 2's slider all the way up. White is more off white on the Note 2 when comparing the same image on both.

I like to use Automatic Brightness but am not impressed with the results whan compared to the original Note.

Can I do anything to improve these issues?

Screen brightness you are going to have to deal with as you can't really change that one in the default settings, unless you turn it off Automatic.

Otherwise you could try downloading a custom browser like Chrome or Opera

These both might help the issue with scrolling.

So in sounds your default notification tone doesn't change when you change the tone?

You have to change it email/Settings/General Preferences for it to work. Similarly for Planner - as I discovered this morning when I missed an alert!
