Root Issues with recovery images sticking?

Newbie
I did a quick search and didn't find anything that had to do with the thunderbolt specifically. My D1 died yesterday, I loved that phone and would have kept it forever, but now I'm ready to get a 4g phone. The thunderbolt is pretty attractive to me, except for I've heard the Thunderbolt has issues with recovery images sticking. I was hoping someone here could elaborate on the issues, if they exist and help me validate my decision to buy a thunderbolt. Any input would be much appreciated!

i have been on this forum, and xda since day one. i have NEVER heard of an issue with recovery images sticking.

if you have heard this from legitimate sources, please provide us with some links and further info.

i love my TB. your only 4g choices are it and the charge,so its not a real tough decision IMO. i dont have a very high opinion of the charge.

I didn't hear this from a legitimate source, just from friends. As long as the Thunderbolt is root friendly, I know it's the phone for me! Thanks.

That being said, I'd appreciate any pro's or con's that anyone can give me. I've pretty much already decided on the Thunderbolt, but I am paying full retail price due to my phone dying at a bad time, so I want to be sure.

I was on a D1 too, from the day it came out until the day the tbolt came out and I feel that the tbolt is a great upgrade

Pros:
4g
Speed
Screen size
Sense(if u like it)
Great devs

Cons:
Random reboots(some have, i don't)EDIT:now i have them too
Light leakage(bad for some, not for others)
Battery life(bad for all)
Connection issues(not really anymore but sometimes)
Bricks(too much to explain in 1 post, read around)
Sense(if u dont like it)
