It takes an hour and half to charge 20%

I don't know if anyone had this issue, but it takes roughly an hour and a half to get 20% of my battery to charge, on the other hand I lose 50% of the battery life in One Hour. Is my battery Done? or is this a 2.1 v3 Leak?

I've shut the phone of completely, and charged the phone. It still takes several hours to recharge.

Anybody having this bad of battery with the Leak??

That does not seem that much out of the ordinary, to me, especially if your battery is over six months old.

If it has suddenly begun to show charging deterioration, though, it could be for several different reasons; the first one that comes to mind is newly running apps or services in the background if you're charging with the device turned on.

oh, well...
I've resorted to shutting everything off, including the mobile network, and I can have it last the whole day, but has soon as I turn it on the 3g, check twitter real quick, and turn the 3g off. I've spent 15-20%. Thats really terrible.

If the battery has been over heated, it could be ruined. If the phone was left in direct sunlight, or had multiple apps running that caused the battery too hot it causes the ions to seep out of a safety relief hole. When this happens the chemistry of the battey is compromised and it is pretty much done. If its only 6 months old, call Verizion. They should send you a new one overnight. If it is older than 1 year, you can get a replacement for less than $20. I just purchased a 2000mah battery from China that I am trying out. As soon as i can get a replacement back cover I am going to cut a hole in the back of it for the battey to stick thru. Then everything will fit perfectly inside of my hard case.

i have leak v.3 and with the wall charger that came with the phone i go from 20% to 100% charge in less than 2 hours when plugged into an ac outlet. a charge for me last about 8 hours but i have little use, just check email every few hours, maybe 1 call a day and i use it as an mp3 player for an hour at the gym (sirius or tunewiki) and i leave wifi and gps turned on all day.

usb charging takes about 4 hours with the original cable, a generic one i bought doesn't work at all. i also bought a car charger/holder that doesn't charge it at all.

i bought this phone back in early december

i would say that there is definetly a problem with your phone and get it replaced

What method do you use to charge it? Wall Charger? Plugged to computer?

I was averaging 12-16 hours on a v3 charge. Used the phone fairly heavily.

Thats way too long. It should take the stock battery only about 2 to 3 hours to charge from being dead on the wall charger.

Ha! I realize that I didn't specify very well. I meant that I get 12-16 use on a charge. It takes a couple of hours from a wall charger and probably 3 to get it charged from my computer via usb.

I plug my phone into the wall outlet with the charger it came with, I tried the whole shutting all the apps off; GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi, deleting apps, manually updating instead of auto. it Helps but this problem I described above is AFTER I did all that! Sounds like my battery is F-ed. Although I never leave it out, or use it heavily, and all that. I'm pretty good about not wreaking batteries, I'm actually a little extra careful with my electronics. probably a fluke I guess. Well I only have a couple more months to go with my contract. Thanks, I was just seeing if it maybe was a Leak 3 error; but mine battery seems far worst the yours...

Thanks
