How big and fast this phone is. I understand the clinical media reviews, but OMFG, this phone is off the charts.

Seriously. I can't believe how fast this thing is. Its insane. Bring up Sprint TV etc in about 2 seconds vs. 30 on the hero. Simply amazing.

Two initial impressions:

- I can suddenly type again.
- On wi-fi, market moves faster than I can.

Just stunning.

Problem is, if I bought a phone off contract every time a new phone came out that i wanted, well, I'd be broke x.x

yes, after everything is setup and I figure out how to get around, remember my skype, gmail, facebook, flickr, photobucket, earthlink, etc, etc passwords and usernames.... it's awesome.

No complaints yet. Everyone's jealous.

Some have drugs,
Some have women,
Others have booze,
We have gadgets.

You might wind-up poor and alone being a gadget junkie, but at least you'll have your health/sanity right?

Anybody notice the peak hours options for retrieving mail? Very very cool. I didn't notice this on my 2.1 hero (but I probably wasn't looking either).

Welp, it's quite large. Actually larger than I expected. After I played with the live demo in the store and then went back to my Touch Pro, it looked puny and I couldn't even look at the screen. It does not take long to get used to. I put it in my front pocket and it was no less comfortable than my Touch Pro because it is significantly thinner. About the same weight though.

Yep, I put it next to my iPhone (still waiting for number port) and the Evo screen just dwarfs the iPhone (I guess it's about 1/3rd larger area, but it seems even bigger). But the Evo is still very comfortable to hold and thin, and has a very solid feel.

On a side note, maybe because I am coming from the iPhone OS, I much prefer the stock Android over the HTC Sense. I finally turned off Sense.

And when I compare the two phones side by side, I have some HTC circle blur live wallpaper going and even just that makes my iPhone seem boring.

OK time to download about 70 apps...

P.S. It was worth the 3 1/2 hour wait at RS to get processed.
