It's been a week, how much data have you used?

I'm at 415,000kb so far, they say most people don't use over 200mb a month, looks like that isn't true for me. I wouldn't survive on AT&T's new data plans.

Curious to see how much everyone else here uses their device. I assume we're not the "average" cell phone user though, lol

From 5/28 to 6/11 ive used 80MB, which sounds way off to me. I sat with Pandora on for a good 6 hours the other day, alone. I've also downloaded quite a few apps as well.

437.2 MB That is a good deal more than usual but I downloaded a lot of apps and one evening at the beach I used it to provide internet access to my laptop for streaming youtube music videos.

Pretty sure I'll go way over 200MB this billing cycle. So many peeps are gonna be crying when they get their 2nd iPhone4 bill. lol

Sprint Data - 06/04 to current
178,597KB

They claim most people don't use more than 2GB actually...

473 mb you can find out when you sign into sprint online, and check usage for your phone. You need to scroll down to the data tab

You can't understand how bad of a deal the data cap issue is with at&t by studying historical usage. These phones are pushing us to use more data than ever before, because they function more like mini computers. Of course I didn't use a lot of data historically, I had a limited phone. Using the internet on it was painful, and there were no big apps, outside of tethering that would use large amounts of data, but now the game has changed.

I think it takes a day or two to catch up with how much you've actually used.

What's even worse is the extra monthly fee to tether with AT&T with no additional data. That's what's going to get people.

Well I did an esn change to move the evo to my number so it will not update until my next cycle starts on the 19th. On my pre however i was at 2.7GB on 6/4/10 before the esn change. Im always over 1.5 gigs of mobile data every month it jumps around depending on my work, if things slow up at work i go on a youtube frenzy and data use skyrockets.

I didnt get a response in the thread I started so i'll ask it here. I have used 1.3GB since last friday, 150MB today alone and all i have done is txted. The apps i have installed are the exact same as I had on my hero when I used 100MB/wk. Some app(s) is/are definitely dl data behind the scenes but I have no idea which one(s). Any ideas?

I think these are all of them: Facebook, FriendStream, Gmail, Mail, News, Stocks, Talk, Weather. If you still have the home screen clock/weather widget that might use data too, I'm not sure.

I turned most of those off of automatic syncing, except for my Mail apps.

472 mb since I got the EVO. With my Moguel I used to use about 55 megabytes a month. That 472 involved some tethering alot of video streaming ( ESPN mobile ) and the rest being plain old internet surfing. If you add my Wi Fi ( net counter app ) I have pushed almost a Gig since I got the phone on the 4th.

AT&T knew exactly what they were doing when they set up there new data tier plans. Honestly I don't mind paying sprint the extra $10 seeing that I will be using multiple Gigs a month now with the EVO.
