I was trying to flash a kernel using fastboot mode.

Switched off the phone, took off the battery
Pressed camera button, connected cable
Windows 7 showed installing drivers

Then nothing.

Phone is not responding.
No lights when connected to ac charger/system
No response on power button or recovery combo

Tried pulling out the battery and reinserting after a few minutes.
Nothing.

Any help will be appreciated. I am totally stuck.

Hoping it'll magically start in the morning.

BUMP

nothing?? i guess then its a visit to the service center

i dont know why you tried to flash kernel like that...instead of doing it manually you should have used adb to boot to fastboot mode or bootloader....

service center is the last option..

i just wanted to see how it was done... the kernel was stock kernel itself..
but i didnt even get a chance to flash

yes i tried everything that i could do.
i guess it got fried somehow.

Not responding to charging, not responding to recovery..nothing..

i dropped it off at the service center today.

Im praying to get the phone in one piece as I've read a lot about Micromax's service on several forums and it aint good.

The company stated time for repairing is 2 weeks.
Im hoping I'd get it back in 2 months.

I hope you do :(, quite sad on your part
@everyone
This should be a reminder that flashing ANYTHING is no cup of tea.. Take extreme caution :(

i dont think its the software though... i feel its more like a hardware failure

wait, how did you use fastboot mode ?
did you turn off the phone.. press and hold camera button and connect to usb ?

yea..dats it...

i've flashed about 20 roms using recovery (like that of cyanogenmod for some lg phones,
modified stock, leandros, replaced kernel from some other phones and what not)
But there was no problem at all.

But this fastboot mode really f***ked me up... lol

yes it happened to me too.. i couldnt switch on my phone no matter what.. but after 2-3 tries i could

yep i can replicate the problem now
but taking out the battery and putting it back in fixes it

I remember. when my phone was stuck in bootloop because i messed up with ninjamorph, i used this fastboot method to flash the CWM recovery and restore the nand backup

Funny, fastboot mode doesnt work now.. any ideas ?

unfortunately, battery trick didnot work for me...

maybe its an rare case..
maybe h/w of my a70 was bad or something.

no, that cant be possible.. do u still have the phone or have u given it to service center ?

Exactly what happens when i turn off and i press and hold camera button and connect to usb
My phone does not respond, .. even if i release the camera button , the phone will not respond.. just nothing..

I take out the battery and put it back in.. it will start

EDIT: I take that back.. fastboot IS working.. the phone will not respond but fastboot should work

Sunil90,

I am also in same problem now. Will use Fastboot once back to home :) Cant connect mobile to PC in office :)

just go to recovery and restore using a stock nandroid recovery.. its the only easy way

Strange thing is, phone is not going into recovery :( (Using Vol Down and Power Combination)...
That is what making me worry about it. Still I am able to put it into fastboot mode. But I can not use fastboot in office PC, so will try it in home.

Thanks Sunil for your help....
But as I told you, it was booting into recovery. I suspected broken Recovery. So with the help of fastboot interface I reflashed recovery and whoooooo it came alive :)
