I realize that this isn't what you are asking but have you tried Google Music (Play Music)? It takes little to no memory (downside being it is primarily a streaming app). You use Google Music Manager to sync your entire library wirelessly.
You can also store on your phone as many as you like (that will fit).
ckelly33 is right. Google Music is free and provide you with 20,000-song storage space. To upload music from iTunes to Google Music is simple. Here's how:
1. Sign in Google Music with your Gmail account.
2. Download the Google Music Manager application and install it onto your computer.
3. Let the music manager to scan your iTunes folder on your computer to search for the songs and playlists which are DRM-Free. (For DRM music, you can turn to this article to make them become DRM-Free).
4. After scan, click Upload button to transfer the found music files to Google Music.
5. Open your Galaxy Note, then access into the Google Music on web. You will see the uploaded music.
This method wont waste any space on your Galaxy note. Good Luck!
