Also if i start buying music from a different source can i add it to the itunes file or will i have to have music in two different places? Thanks! Sorry if this has been answered before!

First off welcome to the forums :)

There is no iTunes app on android, so you cannot buy more songs for iTunes directly on your Android, however, you can sync your device with iTunes and continue to buy iTunes songs on your PC or MAC....

The best way to sync songs with iTunes is through the use of iSyncr

Hope this helps :)

What about the older itunes that are DRM protected?

You can pay Apple 30 cents/song to convert them without DRM (and get higher quality files in the process) or convert them yourself by making mp3 copies of them to a CD (details on the Apple support site if it's not still in iTunes help as it used to be).

You can find questionable DRM strippers out there (most of which we'll take down the links for if posted), but if you want to increase your convenience, look on the web for a virtual CD device that you can install on your Mac or PC, and use that with the Apple method for safe and legal transcription of your music.
