Root jail break

is there any way to jail break the samsung moment so that i am allowed to use tethering with out having to download the rooting of it? can someone please help me out with this?
 
FYI, jailbreak is a term used for the iPhone/ipod/iPad, and is pretty much the equivilent (sort of) of rooting in the Android/linux world. As already mentioned, PDAnet will work fine but the free version will not access secure (Https) sites. If you want "free" wireless tether, you'll have to root.
