you can't jailbreak an android device.
jailbreaking is for iOS and allows for sideloading applications onto the divice from places other than the app store.....android has this functionality built in.
rooting is much more powerful than a jailbreak...you are getting access to files that you normally wouldn't have access to. I would seriously suggest reading EVERYTHING in the very TOP post in this forum before you go and root. you can seriously screw up your phone if you dont know what you are doing.
