Jarcade is a MAME app that has been updated and now supports:

1. MAME4ALL romset (.37) There is a ton of great games now supported.
2. Screen and UI manual adjustments so you can fit the games size and UI how you like.
3. Plays all games smooth (I tested a LOT of games).
4. The on screen controller UI pops up if you use it and does not show if you use a gamepad or keyboard (nice touch).

Works great on my Droid 3 and Thrive. Any arcade game fan should get this app. It is worth it- if you like old school early 90's and earlier arcade games. It supports almost all of the old classics you can think of.

Now, if TigerArcade could make some effort, since scaling options are weak or do not work correctly on Honeycomb devices.
 
I was about to post about the update as well.
I have had it for quite some time but this upgrade is just stunning!

Mortal Kombat 1, KOF98, Samurai Showdown4 , Michael Jackson Moonwalker, Forgotten Worlds, Outrun, Space Harrier, Shinobi, Shadow Dancer, Golden Axe...I mean the list goes on and on...this update just floored me!
With my PS3 controller my captivate is now a dream portable machine :-)
 
Jarcade is pure gold for old school arcade fans.

TigerArcade is nice too, since supports Cave shootemups plus newer CPS2 and Neo Geo roms. Only issue it does not scale correctly on Honeycomb. Well, the zoom function forces it to work on 3.2.

Have you used his CPS2 emu as well?
 
Is there anywhere I can get a collection of 0.37 roms on the internet as I know you can download them seperatly but on most of the Rom pages on the internet to download just a single rom you have to go from one page to another and then back to the original webpage just to download a single rom!!! That can get really tiresome and frustrating believe me!!! Ive even tried Ebay to see if anyone has them on a dvd/blu ray disc that they are selling and they are all roms based on mame version 1.0 and above!!! So if anyone could point me in the direction to download a romset I would be extremely grateful!!!

Thanks for this, hadn't looked into MAME emus for quite a while, with this update this one seems to be working quite well.

I have not used that one, since TigerArcade plays CPS 2, all Neo Geo and Cave games :) Just does not scale correctly on Thrive, since still on 3.1 HC :(

To find the .37 rom set on the net, it is usually listed as MAME4all and is a little under 3GB in total size.
 
Jarcade is my favorite by far but it is not free. Worth every penny though. Controller depends on your phone, I use the PS3 controller with the sixaxis driver on the market.
 
Just purchased this app yesterday but I can't get any of the games/roms to work. I keep getting a "ROM File Error" message when loading a game rom.

I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong here.

I'm downloading the roms from the following:

MAME Roms|MAME Games|Free MAME Roms Download

But it lists a bunch of different MAME versions. Which one works with Jarcade?

Pardon my ignorance....first time using this app and I don't know much about MAME. Any help/info is appreciated.
