Jelly Bean Flash fallout work around

As I am sure most of us are aware that Google and Adobe Flash have stopped playing nice together. That had made me unhappy when I upgraded to FK23. I however found a workaround that lets you have the current dolphin browser use flash that you have side loaded in. First I got an older version of dolphin HD 8.51

I also have flash installed (thank you Titanium Backup). Then run dolphin hd and go into settings and enable flash support (I used the always on option). Now to get the pinch and zoom back from the new Dolphin browser I just updated it through Google play store, and wouldn't you know it flash works! Dolphin browser still has the flash support, but it was slapping you on the hand when you tried to enable it from a clean install (non upgrading).

On a side note, Flash does work under the older dolphin HD 8.51, but do not go full screen with the video on it as it will crash. Once updated though, full screen is working fine. I would also suggest going into the Google-Play settings and turning off automatic updates for apps (Really this has cause more problems when your app was working great and then the update screwed it up)

As always, your mileage may vary.... :D

Or you can do this and use flash with or without a browser(will not work for chrome)

How to Install Adobe Flash Player on Android Phones - YouTube

That video is showing it for use in the default browser so it is still in a browser. I find that the default is too limited which is why I use Dolphin.

Adobe flash is meant for use in the browser. I don't use Chrome, and Firefox for mobile is nothing like Firefox for PC (Dolphin is closer to Firefox PC in look and feel). I was just annoyed at the yank of support for it on jelly bean especially when it is still used a lot out there. I sure don't want to go to a different app to see a video clip while using the browser on the phone (Sorry YouTube app, but you don't cut it with me).

also have Dolphin Jetpack working with it all just fine

What I ment was there is a lot of games apps that I play on my phone that need flash such as gang domination, thats why I said for use outside or browser....I have seen other apps as well that says flash player required.

Fair enough. I was just miffed that support was dropped and that The Browsers that supported it suddenly weren't. Eventually there may come a time when flash isn't used anymore, but it is not this day! (yes I am having a LOTR flashback) LOL
