Jelly Bean notification bar color disappointment !!!

I agree - it ruins the look of any wallpaper - I'd imagine that you would need to be rooted in order to make any changes to it though
 
I installed Nova Launcher which had the side effect of turning the notification bar black

The green bits stay green though...would prefer blue...
 
Yeah I wish it was black as it was on ICS - one of my only gripes of Jelly Bean so just going to live with it, hopefully its changed to black again tho.
 
OMG, really you have one of the best smart phones in the world and you're complaining about the slight difference of colour in the shade of the notification bar.

Also I updated to JB and my bar is black not grey.

Seriously, you guys have to get out more.
 
Been running the foreign leaks for about a month now and never noticed my status bar was black until I saw a few comments & turned my brightness right up. It doesn't bother me now really, I got over it ;)
 
The grey I don't mind but has anyone noticed that the notification icons like for Gmail, Handscent, etc. are much dimmer on Jelly Bean? For example, the Handscent notification icon is the same icon as the application icon which I have in my dock. If I compare the notfication icon at the top with the app icon in the dock the notification icon is way dimmer. I find it makes it a lot harder on the eyes to see the icon, especially for icons that have darker colors. Anyone else noticed that? Perhaps there's a setting for it somewhere?
 
i dont mind it. but i do wish google would make an option to change the color and transparency of the status bar.
 
Not a problem with my black wallpaper ....

Looks fine ....

Wierd ... I swear it's a dark grey on my screen .... dunno why the screen shot doesn't show it.

Anyway, it looks fine.

I got the Galaxy S3 because I needed the bigger screen. The dim status bar (not size-able!) is a real disappointment.

If I had seen it first I would not have bought this phone. I would have gotten an iPhone which I would never have done.

Does anyone have a fix for the dim, tiny status bar? I can't see it.

What do you mean dim and small? Or not "size-able" its the same way on every android device...

Root it and change the DPI
 
Been on JB now for a few weeks- the status bar bugged me for like the first 2 days. After that, haven't even thought about it....
 
They are too small and too dim. Notification bar is worthless. Any way to change it?
