Today's tip is a quick look at making small visual tweaks to your Nexus 7 to make it look like it's even faster.

If you want to reset your Nexus 7 or start to get to the software 'innards' of the machine, you'll need to cold boot:

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this. I just got a Nexus 7 and when I go to the google plus app my name shows up in the profile. I don't have a google plus account, so can I remove this ?.

I'm afraid you do have a Google+ account. Google is quite unabashed at this so basically everyone using Google accounts is on Google+. Of course none of your info is shared but if you want to delete it, you can. There's a link in the app settings to a Web page where you can delete your entire profile. You can also choose to disable the app, or just turn off the notifications.

Yesterday 4.2 arrived, and it is not possible to add alarm in landscape mode anymore!!!! WTF? I guessed for about 10 mins how to add and set alarm, cause I'm using my nexus in landscape mode. After I tryed portrait mode - "OK" button appears, very funny interface bug:)

A little tip that's come up from the 4.2 update. Your screenlock and setting button haven't disappeared from the the notification swipe down, they've just moved!

Finally figured out a way to open a local html file in Chrome from a shortcut! Can open it with file:/// in Boat and Xscope and most any other browsers except Chrome.

I found this app that will add "browser" as an "open as" option in your explorer. Can then create a shortcut to that file, and it will open in Chrome (or any browser on your device). There is one extra "click" involved having to select Chrome, but that's kind of nice if you want to use another browser.

Ever had seemingly random pictures appear in your gallery? Instant uploads might be the cause.
