Jelly bean update appreciated :)

hi guys,i have a samsung s3 i9300 international unlocked version,its running 4.1.1 jelly bean.My network has released 4.1.2 jelly bean but when i hit update it says im up to date.When i update my phone as it unloked model,does fone check network or samsung for updates.I thought unlocked fones get updates quikcer

Current firware version getting this message in kies,i checked and jelly bean 4.1.2 availible in my country ireland ,but my fone says software up to date

Its the CSC that tells the phone where to get the update. It identifies as unbranded for your country (Gets update from Samsung) or as carrier branded (Gets update from Carrier).

Now I'm no expert on CSC's, but KOR does nopt sound like an Ireland CSC. Where did you get the phone?

The way I see it you have 2 choices:
1) Change your CSC to something more appropriate using THIS APP (Read the warnings - resets phone and wipes internal SD card)

2) Join sammobile.com and download the latest updated romn for your area HERE - Please be aware, I can only find Branded ones for ireland... Meteor, Voda, 3, O2
 
Will the UK unbranded version work ok for him flashed through odin without rooting?

(Dont get the o2 one. I got that 1st n had bugs, think it was the camera)
 
Yeah it wont recieve updates (will prob say device has been modded?) But he can keep updating same way (if we get any important update soon which i doubt)
Wonder why Eire hasnt got official update yet when its so close to what some call "the UK"?
 
i bought it in ireland brand new in a store that sell sim free phones , if the csc is kor,does that mean it was meant to be sold in korea ? should the csc match country i bought it in ?
 
my csc is i9300oxaella on my fone but when i connect to kies it says "Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies current firmware is PDA:LJ4 / PHONE:LID / CSC:LJ4 (KOR) " i got a phone shop to update it yesterday,but i cant do it through my kies,that message there,so maybe my csc is ireland but phone sale code korea ?
