Help Jelly Bean update

Lurker
Hi, wasn't sure where to post this, but here we go. I upgraded to Jelly Bean this morning, and now my device status says "custom" and there is a red flashing border around my screen at seemingly random times. I do not have my device rooted. I do not have a custom rom, and I am at a loss for what may be happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No root, no TWRP/CWM recovery installed? So you took the OTA, and this happened?

Have you tried doing a reset on your phone? That's usually what I would suggest in oddball scenarios like this...

All else fails: call samsung, or your provider.

I'm with Virgin and I noticed my status says custom now too, but no red border or anything else for that matter...

Okay, I have reset my phone, and the red border is gone, but it still says it is custom, and now my 4g doesn't work. I'm stumped.

As far as 4G, go check to make sure you have CDMA/lte enabled. Menu > settings > wireless and networks. And i just noticed. Mine says custom too....weird

Thanks, I had already looked to see if it was on, and it was, but for some reason, it didn't know it was on. I finally fixed it by updating my prl and profile like 6 times, and then 4g just popped back up. Thank you for all your help.
