Hi guys, is your phone slow laggy and frustrating to use since updating to jb, Ok well don't fret here is wot you need to do firstly locate on this site instructions from Smokey Mcpott that he posted, from samsung I beleive basically remove battery for forty mins replace and run flat, recharge and do a factory reset, having done that set up your phone, do a long press on the home button select ram memory check amount of ram if max is 482 or 558 then fire up your computer and head over to xda developers and find and download the memory hack, which will give you 624mb of ram and you will also need to download odin if you don't already have it, up grade your ram and enjoy your phone as it should be! !! I will try and provide links in the coming days as soon as I am able to work them out.meanwhile a big thanks to Smokey Mcpott and the developer of the ram hack..
this is the link on xda developers site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389395
this is Smokey's link http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...t-i8160-guide-flash-firmware-post6151638.html

I'm glad Samsung isn't a battery company. Whoever at Samsung came up with that knows less about batteries than he knows about the Royal Succession Act on Mars. Running a battery flat is like pounding a ten penny nail into a tire. It eliminates all the problems with the battery (or the time) because you'll never have to use it again. (In the case of the battery, with current commercially sold Lithium Ion batteries, it's also impossible, because the battery will disconnect from its terminals before it runs flat. Running a LiIon flat is what you do if you want to make a cheap incendiary bomb.)

:D you are funny,
Running out off battery in your phone will not promote you to a "Incendiary bomb maker" terrorist status level, don't worry. lol :D
You must be the only person in this world that never run out of battery charge in your phone to the point of the phone switching itself "safely" off on is own? No???

That is only the process steps to calibrate the battery to the new firmware in the phone by allowing the battery to receive a full and uninterrupted charge with the device turned off.

:) And the removal of the battery from the phone for at least 40 minutes is to kill all the persistent reminiscent and conflicting data from the old firmware/settings or apps.

Simple enough troubleshooting steps that gives results.

;) is not really rocket science!

but samsung is a battery company ! at least they sell batteries for all sorts of devices including cars, there is always one who has to pick points!!!!!!
