"Jellybean 4.1.2 update"

I called vzw and they said this is a Motorola push and sugested I call Motorola, so I called Motorola tech support and was told that someone messed up,that the update is not ready yet and Motorola has pulled the ota update now

That's kind of cruddy, but hopefully this means it will still be soon.

that makes sense being i just tried to down load it, got the message earlier but was not near a charger. and now it said it failed and my phone is up to date... rat's

They're having problems with the OTA...no details on what exactly...

But they told me to clear the cache and wait for the next try.

As usual what you do to your device is your own responsibility, and there is no official word if this build will be the official OTA or not.

I didn't mean that would start the update again...just that it would clear the failed one from your phone and prevent possible problems when the update comes again.

She would not say when the update might come again...just that it was coming.

I guess that means they're still pushing the OTA update and haven't pulled it yet.

I'll wait for them to get the bugs out of it....heck, I wasn't even expecting JB on this phone anyway...I had not even thought about an update since getting ICS.

I'm in no hurry...

Just download the zip file and apply it manually in recovery, that way you don't have to wait for them to send it out to you.

From what the reviews on XDA are saying, the update is rather minimal in terms of features. Only Google Now, Project Butter, and the new status bar.

Fine by me. I really like Google Now on my Asus Tablet (4.1.1) but something like this is really useful on something much more mobile like my phone. I'll be patient and wait for the OTA.
