Root Jellybean 4.2 cam port

there should be two android keyboards... it should be one of those.. for me it was the second one...

Here's a pic of me just about to reply to this. Doesn't show. Should I reflash?

kk... ill take you through it.. make sure you have root browser or something similar...

open up the zip file that you downloaded... now open system.. open the lib folder and move that file to the system/lib folder on your phone...

change the permissions of the file to rw-r--r--

now go back to the zip and open the system folder and then go to the app folder...

move that file to system/app on your sd...

permissions are rw-r--r--..

now reboot...

I moved the lib file with no problem but couldn't move the app file. So i booted into my recovery and reflashed the zip file again and now its working. Thanks

The only thing that sucks about the keyboard is that if I go to touch a word that's not in the dictionary to add it, it force closes.

Any idea why it won't save the words for me?
scratch that... dont work for me niether... just when i thought it was perfect... but it does seem to save the words i use alot that aren't in the dictionary... but not by using the add button but by just typing it in manually a few times

Also came across this independent of this thread and everything worked fine except the photosphere is way to laggy to take anything decent. Hopefully it gets better, it would be cool to play around with.

Just stop after each photo for a couple seconds, then resume moving SLOWLY. I've gotten some good stuff.

ITS SPHERICAL… SPHERICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Download this zip
Dev-Host - 4.2Camera_t04.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service

2. Download "root browser" or any other file manager with root access.

3. Head over to "system/app"

5. Rename "HTCCamera.apk" to "HTCCamera.apk.bu" (In case you want to go back)

6. Rename "HTCAlbum.apk" to "HTCAlbum.apk.bu" (for the same reason)

7. Enjoy :D

ALSO
If you're running a jellybean rom, the app you must delete to get rid of the JB camera is Gallery2.apk (or rename it to "Gallery2.apk.bu")
