Root Jellybean mod + unresponsive touch screen

Hi, my Motorola ATRIX 4G has been rooted, with clockwork mod installed. I am running Cyanogen Jellybean mod, Android Version 4.1.1

I bought this phone rooted and and everything from someone about a month ago. Everything was working fine even after I flashed a ROM image for Jellybean. Then randomly while I was shopping, a 1 cm strip of the touch screen stopped responding. Right along the 'e' key. There is apparently a pds partition fix I can perform, but only for gingerbread and froyo. not jellybean.

Would I have to flash back to gingerbread or what? Any help is appreciated.

I see you posted this in the 'support and troubleshooting' subforum several days ago and have had no replies, so I have moved it into the 'all things root' section so that hopefully the rooting wizards here will see it, and offer some tips to help.
